You can add new missions and edit pre-existing missions on the Maps page.
1. Navigate to Maps.
The Maps page is displayed.
2. Select the date and time of the flight from the Mission Date/ Time calendar and time dropdown list. By default, the current date and time is selected.
3. Click icon to select the area.
Note: Click the map to get blue dotted lines to mark the selection and select the area. After selection of the area, double click.
The Shape Information dialog is displayed.
4. Enter the name of the shape in the Name field.
5. Select the highlighting color for the area from the Color dropdown list.
6. Check the box Add Contingency Buffer if you wish to add the contingency buffer distance of the flight and slide the slider to set the distance for the contingency buffer.
7. Check the box Add Ground Risk Buffer if you wish to add the ground risk buffer distance of the flight and slide the slider to select the distance for the ground risk buffer.
8. Enter the floor altitude during the flight in the Floor Altitude field.
9. Enter the highest altitude reached during the flight in the Ceiling Altitude field.
10. Enter a brief note for the area covered in the Notes textbox.
11. Click Save.
The Flight Area is set.
12. Click SAVE FLIGHT AREA.
The flight area is saved.
Note:
You can view the details of all the airspace restrictions that fall in the selected flight area by clicking Details in Airspaces Check.
The Details dropdown list is displayed.
You can edit the shape information by clicking icon.
Click icon to measure the distance as needed. The distance is displayed.
You can drop a pin in the area selected by clicking icon.
The Shape Information dialog is displayed.
Select the marker from the Marker Type dropdown list, enter a note in the Notes textbox, and click Save to save the details of the pin.
You can import the KML data by clicking icon on the map on the left side of the bar and selecting the file as needed from your system.
You can export the KML data by clicking Export KML.
13. Click Add Mission.
The Mission Creation dialog is displayed.
14. Select a nearby location from the Select Existing Nearby Location dropdown list or enter a location in the Or Create New Location field.
15. Click Create Location.
The location is added to the existing nearby location list.
16. Click Add Mission.
The mission is added and you will be redirected to the Plan Mission section to create a new planned mission. For more information, refer to Plan Mission.
