How to Add Battery Charge Cycle?

You can add the details of the charge cycle of the battery for maintenance purposes.


1.  Navigate to Inventory > Battery > click Actions on the row of the battery you wish to add the battery charge cycle.


The Actions dropdown list is displayed.



2.  Click Cycles.


The Battery Charges page is displayed. 



3.  Click Add Battery Charge.


The Battery Charge Overview dialog is displayed. 



4.  Select the date when the battery was charged from the Date calendar.

5.  Enter the time duration for how long the battery was charged in the Duration field in the format hours: minutes: seconds.

6.  Enter a note if any in the Notes field.

7.  Enter the battery voltage before taking the flight in the Pre-Flight (V) field.

8.  Enter the battery voltage after taking the flight in the Post-Flight (V) field.

9.  Enter the battery voltage before charging it in the Before Charge (V) field.

10.  Enter the battery voltage after charging it in the After Charge (V) field.

11.   Click Next.


The Capacity Input & Resistances dialog is displayed.



12.  Enter the input capacity of the battery in the Capacity Input field.

13.  Enter the total resistance of the battery cells in the Cell Resistance Total field.

14.  Enter the individual resistance of the battery cells in the Cell 1Cell 2Cell 3Cell 4Cell 5Cell 6Cell 7, and Cell 8 fields respectively.

15.  Click Add.


The battery charge is added.


Note:  To edit battery charge, click  icon on the battery charge.  You can also clone the battery charge by clicking Clone.


Notes: 

The battery record can maintain 2 cycles counts.


The "Smart battery” cycles count is only available for some manufacturer like DJI. 

Some DJI models Flight logs contain the current battery cycles count : noted as “Smart#” in the screens.

So when a smart battery cycle count is set (automatically updated when you import a flight log) : you don’t need to enter Battery Cycles manually.


For other batteries (with Smart# empty), you have to enter manually a battery cycle record, when the pilot/technician effectively charges the battery.
