The initiatives listed below are being carried out in many African industries, including healthcare, agriculture, geographic information systems (GIS), security, photography, and manufacturing.
Drone Africa Service
The expanse of the continent's territory, low prices of use, swift airway transportation, etc., make drones particularly well-suited to the continent, where they see significant development. For example, Drone Africa Service is a firm based in Niger that initially focused on developing civilian drones (as opposed to military drones, the first type). These drones were designed for aerial photography and other services targeting numerous industries.
FasoDrone
FasoDrone is an artificial intelligence-driven firm specializing in constructing drone systems and analyzing aerial data. It delivers fast and reliable data so individuals can make decisions quickly and profitably with minimal risk. It answers problems faced by people working in agriculture, mining, construction, environmental protection, urban development, and the media. Its headquarters is in Burkina Faso.
Zipline
Since 2016, several hospitals and medical institutions in Rwanda have been able to order blood bags online in the event of an emergency and have them delivered by drones. This results from a collaboration between the Silicon Valley startup Zipline and the Rwandan government. This revolutionary equipment significantly improves the health of the country's population.
